I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you — a brand-new character is on the way!
It’s been quite a journey bringing him to life. For months, I imagined his adventures and how they would unfold, page after page. I often asked myself: What message should this story carry? How can I make it a magical experience for both children and adults?
My goal has always been to create moments of connection — those cozy, heartwarming memories where stories spark imagination and laughter across generations.
As many of you know, I run a bit of a “one-woman show” here. Writing and rhyming are only part of what I do. I also design every scene and illustration myself! I go to bed thinking about how to make each page fun and meaningful for children — and I usually wake up with the same thought.
Growing up with a baker in the family meant our house always smelled like something delicious. Whether sweet or savory, there was always a new treat to try or a recipe to learn. I spent many afternoons baking with my mom, and even now, I find myself calling her for the recipes tucked inside her old drawer book.
Those moments — full of laughter, floury hands, and secret family recipes — were pure magic. And that’s exactly how The Secret Ingredient was born.
It’s a story about love, creativity, and the joy of discovering that sometimes, the most important ingredients in life aren’t the ones we can see or taste — but the ones we feel.
